If you have any specific requirements, please don’t hesitate to contact me to discuss tailor-made options. Video coverage of the day can also be arranged.
What are your rates?
This is dependent on the coverage, whether you would like a pre-wedding or engagement shoot and also the location of your wedding. Please contact me using the form below and I will be more than happy to provide you with a quote.
Do you travel?
Yes, I am happy to travel in the UK or further afield. Expenses will be agreed upon beforehand.
Do you do albums?
Yes. Wedding albums are available, the cost of which is dependent on the options you choose. Please contact me for more information.
What time will you arrive and leave?
Unless arranged otherwise I am booked for the entire day. This is from first thing, usually pictures of the bride and bridesmaids getting ready for the ceremony, right through to the first dance and start of the evening event. The length of coverage is always agreed beforehand in the contract.
Who has copyright of the pictures?
I retain the copyright, but a ‘license of use’ is granted to you for all images from your wedding. This means you can reproduce and distribute the pictures as you wish, provided they are not used for commercial purposes.
Do we sign a contract?
Yes. I am happy to answer any questions relating to the terms of this. It is signed by the bride, groom and myself at the pre-wedding meeting.
What happens if you are ill or can’t get there?
I would like to stress that this is extremely unlikely and it has not happened yet. My business is based on reputation and I pride myself on the thoroughness of my preparation. I do count a number of professional wedding photographers as my friends, who would be happy to provide cover in the event of any unforeseen circumstances.
Do we provide food for you?
Normally I do request that food is provided for me, but in a different location from the wedding breakfast. This is often at the bar (although I never drink while working). This also allows me to review and back-up the images I have already taken. Coverage normally resumes as soon as people have finished eating.
What do we receive?
Depending on the length of coverage you will receive 200-500 full quality, carefully edited images at print resolution. The emphasis is very much on the quality of the images and telling the story of your wedding day, rather than producing a large number of pictures. These are provided on a memory stick in a handmade wooden presentation box.
How long does it take to get our pictures?
All of your final images are individually edited to the highest quality. This takes some time. I normally endeavour to provide the images in three weeks, as I understand you will be keen to receive them as soon after the wedding day as possible.
Do you do engagement shoots?
Yes. Pre-wedding or engagement shoots are becoming more and more popular. This is an opportunity for a more relaxed and informal portrait session with the bride and groom. The location can be somewhere of significance to both the bride and groom or perhaps just some beautiful countryside or coastline. Price is dependent on location.
Can we meet you?
Of course, I would be more than happy to meet to discuss your requirements further. If this is not possible then questions can be answered by phone or email. Once you have booked, a pre-wedding meeting is very important. It allows you to convey any particular images you would like and it also allows me to ask a number of important questions. Ideally this should be face to face if location allows, but if necessary can also be conducted by phone or email.
Do you only work on your own?
Normally, yes. One of the advantages of my approach is that it does not make your wedding day feel like one long photo shoot. If a second photographer is required though, I am happy to arrange this at extra cost.
Do you have insurance?
Yes. In the extremely unlikely event of any data loss, accident or unforeseen event I have specific and comprehensive insurance cover. This also includes public indemnity.
What camera do you use?
I use both Nikon and Sony full-frame professional camera bodies in conjunction with the best lenses available. I always use two bodies in case of breakage or failure. The camera simultaneously writes images to two separate memory cards and I also upload these to multiple storage locations during the day.
